Brisanet Group taps Alpha Networks to uplift its OTT platform BrisaPlay and target local operators

Brisanet, a major telecommunications company and largest regional ISP in the North-East region of Brazil, launched an improved version of its OTT streaming platform BrisaPlay thanks to Alpha Networks.

Aggregating different content types and launching new features, including Live and Catch-up

BrisaPlay is an exclusive video streaming service initially intended for Brisanet customers.

To improve the quality of its streaming platform by increasing the available content and deliver an enriched user experience to the end-users, Brisanet selected Alpha Networks for its Tucano video software and Gecko white-labelled front-end applications.

This complete platform allows an easy integration of different types of content (Live, VOD, Catch-up, Start-Over and EPG), offers management and content monetisation.

BrisaPlay also includes a simplified authentication process via SSO (Single-sign-on) to smoothen the login process for subscribers. Once logged in, members can benefit of creating up to 5 profiles (including one for children with parental control) and being connected simulteously within 5 different devices.

Brisanet also decided to activate the content editorialization module, a powerful editing tool allowing the marketing personnel to configure and always keep up-to-date the content of the homepage of the applications, without any technical knowledge.

BrisaPlay is a multi-device OTT platform proposing a mix of varied VOD content counting more than 5000 assets and Live from over 60 channels. It is currently available on iOS, Android, Android TV SetTopBoxes, Chromecast and web, and will be available on Smart TV applications soon.

The Start-over and EPG features are available since April 2022, while the Catch-up and Time-Shift are planned to be implemented shortly.

Brisanet Group goes B2B by reselling its OTT service to minor ISPs in the Region

Through its renewed OTT video platform aggregating a rich list of contents & metadata via different drivers, Brisanet Group will now be able to address several small-sized service providers and expand furher its footprint in the region.The B2B franchise will be possible thanks to Agility Telecom, part of Brisanet Group.
